Half a decade since the “Mafia” franchise added a game into their roster, loyal fans are already anticipating when the sequel will be released to the public since 2K games confirmed that a “Mafia III” will soon drop.
2K Games recently cleared the air when numerous gaming websites speculated that the open world third-person shooter will come next month after merchandise was spotted with a pre-order card for the game revealing that “Mafia III” will indeed come out this year, only that there is no specific date yet on the release.
“‘Mafia III’ is the next instalment in the popular series known for immersing players into a world of organized crime through rich narrative storytelling and a beautifully crafted game world featuring period-accurate cars, music, and fashion,” 2K Games stated.
Despite the uncertain time frame that fans are looking into in terms of the game’s release, a report by Segment Next suggests that 2K Games is planning to release a live action trailer for the game.
The tip came from the Twitter page of Nerd Leaks saying, “So we expect a live-action trailer for E3 or tv spot in Sept/Oct” after it spotted a separate Facebook post from Caballero Casting saying that they are looking for someone for “Mafia III.”
The full casting call is for someone who is a male of African-American descent and approximately 18 years old. Furthermore, he should be also able to dance and splits. As of now, there is no other information regarding which character in the game the one who will be cast will portray.
“Mafia III” will be following the life of Lincoln Clay, a Vietnam war veteran who is seeking revenge against the Italian mob that killed his family and is also hunting him. He will be aided by three of his trusted friends, Cassandra, Burke, and Vito Scaletta. The lead role will be voiced by Alex Hernandez of “Hemlock Grove.”
