'Mafia 3' release date finally revealed; pre-order available


The release date of the highly anticipated game “Mafia 3” has finally been announced. Fans of the franchise will finally be able to get their hands on the title on Oct. 7.

Fans have been waiting for the next installment of the “Mafia” video game series for quite some time now. The publisher of the title, 2K Games, recently posted a promotional clip that gave fans a hint of what to expect from the upcoming game.

Titled “One Way Road Story,” the trailer revealed that the game will be set in New Bordeaux during the 1960s. The story will center on a character named Lincoln Clay, who is an ex-soldier. With that, players can expect a lot of violence as they progress through the game.

According to the official website of “Mafia 3,” players will have to take on the character of Clay, who is seeking revenge against the Italian Mafia. Players will then create a new crime family in order to defeat enemies and gain control of the cities.

While the release of the game is still months away, it was said that players already have the chance to pre-order “Mafia 3.” Upon pre-ordering, three variants will be available: Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition. All variants will include several freebies such as lieutenant themed vehicles and weapons.

Along with the freebies, the Deluxe and Collector’s Edition will include a free season pass, as well as free downloadable content for the upcoming title. The Collector’s Edition will also be full of physical and digital items as well as an Original Game Score Vinyl and Collectible Art Books and Prints.

However, the variants will come at a high price as the Deluxe will be sold at $79.99 while the Collector’s Edition at $149.99.

“Mafia 3” will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this Oct. 7. It is already available for pre-order in several retail stores.
