Apple recently confirmed that they will be putting up yet another trade event later this month. Fans are now expectant that the upcoming big reveal will include the devices that were no-shows at the Sept. 7 keynote, specifically the iPad lineup and the equally anticipated MacBook Pro 2016.
Rumor has it is that the Cupertino-based tech firm will be launching an improved render of the MacBook Pro to come alongside other devices later this month.
It was previously publicized that the company made adjustments to the schedule of their final financial report that will also take place this month. Instead of having it on Oct. 27, the earnings call was rescheduled to Oct. 25, which sent hints to techies and fans that something was happening on the original date.
Moving on to the specs, the MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to have an OLED touch strip that will allow the new notebook to ditch the standard physical function keys. This feature, while unconfirmed, is believed to be coming as leaks of the upcoming device’s casing depicted the absence of such keys. Furthermore, it’s also likely that the new MacBook Pro will be lodged with USB Type-C connectors for faster data transfers and quicker charging times.
Reports also suggest that there’s a possibility that Apple might tap either Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) or NVIDIA to provide the notebook’s graphics processing unit. The laptop is rumored to boast a 5K resolution.
It was pointed out a couple of weeks ago that the company began developing the notebook as early as the first half of this year and this seems to indicate that the next-generation MacBook Pro will be spotted at this month’s unveiling.
Given the features that are rumored to be featured in the newest render of the notebook, it may well seem that it will be one of the most expensive portable computers in the market. However, Apple has yet to disclose the exact price tag of the MacBook Pro 2016.
