MacBook Pro 2016 news: retailer discounts could be a hint that new version is releasing spring 2016


Rumors have it that with the discounts rolling in for the Apple MacBook Pro in some stores, a new version may be making its way to the consumers next year.

Aside from the sale brought about by the recently concluded Black Friday for Thanksgiving, Best Buy still has Cyber Monday that gives great deals on some products by Apple including a price cut of up to $150 for several MacBook Air and Retina MacBook models and even up to $249 off the tag for original iPad Air models. All the offers include free shipping.

In comparison to the listing during Black Friday, the13.3-inch Retina MacBook Pro was offered for $1,858, but it is only $1,499.99 now. On the other hand, the MacBook Air which was previously sold for $1,073, currently sits at $899.99

For those who may want to get their hands on the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, a $100 discount is offered for activating a unit with a carrier on a two-year contract. Likewise, the iPhone 6 with 16GB can be activated for $1 with Verizon on a two-year contract.

Although the Cupertino-giant is yet to announce any official statement, reports claim that the extended markdown may point to MacBook Pro 2016’s imminent arrival.

When it comes to specifications, the laptop is expected to be have 6th generation Skylake chipset from Intel, an improved battery life, better RAM, and support for Type C USB port. It may also feature the operating system El Capitan and improved Force Touch technology. The screen, meanwhile, is assumed to have the same design used in previous models.
