'Longmire' season 5 premiere spoilers: Henry and Walt's friendship may end next season; is Victoria to blame?

Actor Lou Diamond Phillips just dropped that his character Henry Standing Bear and his best friend Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) will be at odds in the next season.

In an interview with Access Hollywood Live, Phillips teased that he will make a deal with Mathias (Zahn McClarnon), which may prevent him from going to jail. He will go to the tribal police instead.

“Henry will be continuing his dual role as Hector, the sort-of vigilante, justice-bringer for the reservation,” said the actor, “which will put him at odds with Walt Longmire, his best friend.”

According to CarterMatt, the conflict between the two is always interesting, considering that both parties think that they are both doing the right thing but through different means.

However, this may not be the only scenario in “Longmire” season 5 where Henry and Walt will face off. Rumors are saying that the two best friends are going to fight over Vic (Katee Sackhoff), GameNGuide reported. Apparently, Henry and Vic are not going to be saying their wedding vows peacefully as Walt reportedly wants to steal the woman.

There are also reports that Walt is going to be the one next to Vic on her wedding day in “Longmire” season 5. Although the ceremony is expected to continue without problems, their married life is reportedly going to end abruptly  mainly due to Henry.

It is said that he will devise a car accident where his best friend and ex-fiance will probably meet their end. Given that Walt is the protagonist and the titular character of the series, most fans doubt that the next season will go down this route.

These are simply rumors for now and should be treated as such and with a grain of salt.

“Longmire” season 5 is expected to hit Netflix on Sept. 23.
