It seems that people just can’t give the upcoming Nexus phones a rest as another round of rumors and leaks is spreading. There are two devices lined up from Google, going by the unofficial names of the LG-Nexus 5 2015 and the Huawei Nexus 5 2015. It is still unconfirmed whether these upcoming handsets will keep these names in the end.
For now, we will take a look at the rumors about one of the handsets and simply refer to it as the LG Nexus.
The said phone will reportedly have a 5.2-inch full HD display at 1080 pixels. This can potentially help cut back power consumption and keep the device running faster and smoother. It is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 with two A57 cores, four A53 cores, along with a 418 GPU chip. So far, both the 5.2-inch display size and Snapdragon 808 processor have been very consistent even in the previous leaks that had surfaced.
Rumor also indicate that LG Nexus will come with 3GB RAM along with a 16GB or 32GB options for its internal storage. The predictions did not bet for a 64GB size option. Aside from these, the device is also said to come with a USB Type C port, though unconfirmed whether it will be a 3.1 or the regular 2.0 compliant. Its battery is also expected to carry more capacity of 500 mAh more at 2,700 mAh. In terms of camera, the speculation is a 12.3 megapixel rear shooter and a 5 megapixel front shooter. In terms of color options, rumors indicate three varieties at black, blue, and white.
With two handsets slated to be released from Google – rumored in September or October – the LG Nexus may cater more on the affordable to mid-range smartphone tier, while its Huawei counterpart may target a more premium phablet at 5.7 inch. The price range is unconfirmed for both handsets.
