LG recently launched two new models that will add up to the roster of smartphones from the new ZK Series of devices. The new devices are the LG K8 and the K5 smartphones, which the company describes to sport great looks with a budget friendly price.
Following the release of the K10, the first smartphone in the K Series, then the K7 and the K4, LG will start selling the new K8 and K5 smartphones in markets across the world. The new K8 smartphone will be available in regions such as Asia, Africa, the Middle East, CIS and Latin America. The K5, on the other hand, will be sold in Europe, CIS, and Latin America. The L5 will be marketed as the LG Q6 for markets in Mexico.
The new K5 sports a metallic looka plastic made body with brushed metal finish, resulting in a look similar to the G4. It sports a 5-inch display with a 480 x 854 pixels resolution. It runs under a quad-core chipset with a CPU clocking in at 1.3 GHz speed. It packs 1GB of RAM, along with 8GB built-in internal storage capacity which is expandable via microSD. It features a 5-megapixel main rear camera with a 2-megapixel front snapper, with Gesture Shot feature. It is powered by a 1,900 mAh battery and boots on Android Lollipop.
As for the K8, it comes with a 5-inch display with a 720p HD resolution, made with 2.5D Arc Glass Display. It packs 1.5GB RAM for devices that will be sold in Europe and North America and 1GB RAM for devices in Latin America. It has an 8-megapixel and 5-megapixel camera combo and is powered by a 2,125 mAh battery. It boots on Android Marshmallow 6.0.
