The much-anticipated crossover of “The Flash” and “Arrow” is coming in two weeks’ time. Fans will be happy to know that they will not only see two superheroes, but nine, converging in the episodes.
“Arrow’s” Stephen Amell revealed in a roundtable discussion with Comic Book that there were nine heroes in the cast. “We shot a scene that had, like, nine superheroes in it. Nine people with either powers or super-suits.” He added, “It was an amazing thing to look out over the scene and see the world that has been built over the course of three-plus years.”
In the photo above, there are seven characters: Black Canary, Green Arrow, Speedy, The Flash, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Diggle, and possibly, the two missing are The Atom and White Canary as they are also part of “Legends of Tomorrow.”
The crossover, according to the same report by Comic Book, will happen in two episodes on Dec. 1 and 2 in “The Flash” and “Arrow,” respectively. On Dec. 1 in “The Legends of Today,” Vandal Savage (guest star Casper Crump) will appear in Central City and attack Kendra Saunders (Ciara Rene) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes). The two will turn to Barry (Grant Gustin) for help. However, as Barry tries to hide Kendra in Star City, Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) will sweep her off to fly away.
Meanwhile, in “The Legends of Yesterday” crossover, Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Barry will try to hide Kendra in a safe location as they try to find ways how to defeat Vandal Savage. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Thea (Willa Holland), Diggle (David Ramsey), and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) will try to help them to look for other weapons that can defeat the villain.
The crossovers are said to make the different DC heroes known as they lead to another spinoff in January, pertaining to “Legends of Tomorrow.” Vandal Savage, who is described as an immortal villain, is also the main antagonist in the upcoming spinoff, so it is no surprise that fans will get glimpses of him in the upcoming “Flash” and “Arrow” crossovers.
Both crossovers will air at 8 PM on The CW.
