2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible from Land Rover goes on sale in 2016

Fans of Land Rover’ Range Rovers will be excited to know that the 2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible will go on sale in 2016.

According to BBC, unlike the other vehicles built by Land Rover, the Evoque Convertible is more of a modern SUV. It has a fabric roof that can be stowed in just 18 seconds with the press of a single button. This function also opens all windows. On the other hand, putting the roof back will only take 21 seconds.

Under the hood, the convertible is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that can produce up to 240-horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. As reported by CNET, the Evoque Convertible is an all-wheel drive with nine-speed automatic transmission.

In terms of size, the Range Rover Evoque Convertible measures 82 inches wide and 63 inches tall. Headroom is pegged at 38 inches when the roof is down.

Other features of the vehicle vary depending on the model chosen. The SE Dynamic build has textured aluminum trim, automatic headlamps, bright pedals, and rain sensing windscreen wipers. Meanwhile, the HSE Dynamic model has exterior mirrors that can be power folded, heated, and has direction indicators. The edition of the convertible also has configurable mood lighting for those who want to “shape their surroundings.”

Both the SE and HSE have 10.2-inch touschreen infotainment system. Land Rover stated on their website that the InControl Touch Pro feature has a customizable home screen that will let the driver and passengers access their favorite features easily.

Debuting at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show this month, the price of the 2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible, based on the Land Rover website, starts at $50,475 for the SE Dynamic and $57, 275 for the HSE Dynamic. Some of the color choices are Phoenix Orange, Waitomo Grey, Firenze Red, Aintree Green, and Loire Blue.
