'Kung Fu Panda 3' trailer is out; Po is back January 29, 2016


Po, the big, fun-loving, Kung Fu Panda is back and as the new film puts it”the weight is over”.

After a lot of changes to the film’s release date, the much awaited next chapter to the adventures of Po the panda will now continue in “Kung Fu Panda 3”.

A new trailer for the DreamWorks Animation film was recently released, showcasing main protagonist Po as he takes on a journey that gives him the new shift from once being the student to know being the master of an entire village that must learn how to protect their kind.

In the new film, Po gets to meet his long lost father, and discovers a secret community of other pandaspreviously thought to be extinct already. But in the rise of yet another threat, Po must use kung fu once more and teach all of his remaining kind how to protect themselves.

Here is the official synopsis for the film, courtesy of DreamWorks Animations:

“In 2016, one of the most successful animated franchises in the world returns with its biggest comedy adventure yet, KUNG FU PANDA 3. When Po’s long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters. But when the supernatural villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossiblelearn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas!”

“Kung Fu Panda 3” will see Jack Black reprising his role as Po, as well as Dustin Hoffman, Randall Duk Kim, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, and Jackie Chan as Master Shifu, Oogway, Tigress, Viper, and Monkey, respectively. Bryan Cranston plays Po’s father Li, and Kate Hudson in the role of Mei Mei, the panda that was meant to be the wife of Po. J.K. Simmons will play the role of the villain, the supernatural bull Kai.
