Despite their very confusing breakup a couple of years back, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have not really gotten a break as rumors of them getting back together continue to persist. However, as Stewart becomes more and more open about her latest relationship, the buzz about the former couple might be killed for good as the actress claims that she is currently “much happier.”
The usually tight-lipped actress was candid during her sit-down interview with Elle UK. Stewart, who also graces the cover of the September issue of the magazine, was no holds barred while talking about her past and present relationships.
“When I was dating a guy I was hiding everything that I did because everything personal felt like it was immediately trivialized, so I didn’t like it. We were turned into these characters and placed into this ridiculous comic book, and I was like, ‘That’s mine. You’re making my relationship something that it’s not.’ I didn’t like that,” she told the mag, referring to her whirlwind romance with Pattinson that lasted for about four years.
The relationship was born out of working together in the movie adaptation of the hit “Twilight” saga which they both spearheaded. The franchise, which lasted for five films, ultimately put the two in front of the spotlight, and everything they did including their eventual coupling was documented.
Unfortunately, things went south when Stewart was found to be having an extramarital affair with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director, Rupert Sanders. Since then, it was assumed that the two went their separate ways but no one really knew the exact time they broke up.
Both Pattinson and Stewart have moved on from each other, as the former is now engaged to be married to musician FKA Twigs; the latter, on the other hand, made bold choices as she has been linked to several women. Earlier this year, she was claimed to be dating French musicianactress Soko but was said to have separated back in May. As of now, the reserved star is supposedly in relationship with Alicia Cargile, who was also linked to her multiple times in the past.
“It changed when I started dating a girl. I was like, ‘Actually, to hide this provides the implication that I’m not down with it or I’m ashamed of it, so I had to alter how I approached being in public. It opened my life up and I’m so much happier,'” the face of Chanel continued.
