Kim Kardashian pregnancy news: nutritionist on board to ensure healthy pregnancy; New baby's name to be more traditional, claims source

Kim Kardashian is making an active effort to ensure that her second pregnancy will go more smoothly than her first. The star has reportedly gone as far as hiring a nutritionist to create a custom diet for her to keep her blood pressure in check while she’s pregnant.

Kim suffered from preeclampsia during her pregnancy with North, a rare a condition that heightens the blood pressure of women while pregnant. This time around Kim is making sure that there will be no repeats.

During her first pregnancy, Kim also suffered from swelling, headaches and changes in vision, all while gaining a huge amount of weight during the nine month period.

According to TMZ, Kim’s new diet involves more water and less sodium.

“This time around, I have a nutritionist that I was seeing before to keep me healthy while I’m pregnant. The last pregnancy I ate a doughnut every single day. I’m not doing that this time, but I’ve also been taking it easy and enjoying myself… Pregnancy is not the most comfortable thing for me, but I’m really going to try to embrace it this time,” she said in an interview with Us Weekly.

She also shared big sister North West’s reaction to learning that there will be a new baby soon.

“She knows that Mommy has a baby in her belly, but she thinks everyone has a baby in their belly. I think she thinks it’s my belly button,” Kardashian said.

Meanwhile, Kim and Kanye are reportedly looking at options for baby names but it surely isn’t going to be South West.

Insiders have claimed that the power couple want their baby’s name to be strong. With North, there was a power element because the direction was pointing upwards but the other three just don’t have that type of swagger.

The same source told TMZ  that the duo is leaning towards a more traditional name, probably inspired by Kim or Kanye’s late parents.
