Hollywood personality Kim Kardashian and musician Kanye West have welcomed their third baby on Monday.
Kardashian announced the arrival of their new baby, a daughter, on Twitter, linking a post on her website, captioned with a simple “She’s here.”
“Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl,” wrote Kardashian on her website. She also shared that the baby weighed in at 7 lbs., 6 oz.
The new baby arrived via surrogate, to whom Kardashian expressed great gratitude. “We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care,” she said.
According to sources, Kardashian was the first to hold the baby, followed by West. Kris Jenner, as well as Kardashian’s sisters, were also present at the hospital when the baby was born.
The birth of the new family member was smooth and without complications, unlike Kardashian’s two pregnancies, which were fraught with complications. The family quietly checked out of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Tuesday, and they are now spending time at their home.
With the addition of the fifth member of their family, the reality star also shared how her two other children are excited to meet their new sister. “North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister,” said Kardashian.
Previously, Kardashian revealed that their firstborn North became jealous when her brother Saint first arrived into the family. Now, the couple is making sure that both of them get extra attention so they would feel included as the family welcomes its newest member.
Kardashian and West have not settled on a name yet. According to a source close to the couple, they have been thinking about it for months, and want to make sure that they pick the right name.
