It has been a decade since Jon and Kate Gosselin debuted their family in “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” and this year, TLC is celebrating the reality show as the series, renamed “Kate Plus 8,” is heading towards its 10th season on the network.
According to Entertainment Weekly, season 10 of “Kate Plus 8” will consist of eight episodes, and it starts with an anniversary special featuring some never-before-seen footage and new interviews with the family.
In the new season, twins Mady and Cara are turning 16 and preparing to start driving, while sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel will be celebrating their 12th birthdays. The family will also be going on trips as they head to New Orleans, the Poconos, and the beach for summer vacation.
TLC has released the first trailer for the new season, and in the clip, Kate says that they are celebrating the little kids’ 12th birthday. Kate arranges a scavenger hunt, which pits the boys against the girls.
The Gosselins also welcome some new family members, puppies Nanook Juno Gosselin and Mac Jacobi Gosselin. Kate says that having a few canine companions might prove to be interesting. Later, it appears as though the kids lost the dogs as Kate yells and asks where the puppies are.
While kayaking, Kate looks very stressed as she shouts that she’s “not doing this.” More clips of Kate raising her voice are seen, and one of the twins says that their mother is “insane.”
Cara and Mady agree that Kate likes to make a scene and Kate is seen screaming and running away while the others calmly look at bugs.
One of the kids says that nobody wants to be on Kate’s team when they’re playing a game as she’s “way too competitive.” Later, Mady tells Kate to stop raising her voice.
“I just want you to stop yelling and being stressed,” she says.
“Kate Plus 8” season 10 premieres Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
