Marvel Studios had been very active in releasing blockbuster after blockbuster of superhero films with their Marvel Cinematic Universe. This time, however, DC Comics will be releasing movies, too. They will start big with the upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” This will be followed by the much awaited big screen debut of The Justice League. “Man of Steel” and “Batman v Superman” director Zack Snyder recently teased fans about the Justice league getting “assembled”in a wayin the upcoming film that will bring two of the most iconic comic book characters against each other.
In an interview with USA Today, Snyder confirmed that aside from the trio of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, The Flash and Cyborg will also be coming to the filmteasing the upcoming “Justice League” two-part film series.
“I love Batman and Superman and Wonder Woman, but having Flash and Aquaman and Cyborg and to see them all standing together, it’s a pretty dorky and cool experience for me,” Snyder said.
Fans should keep a keen eye while watching the film, as Snyder revealed that he had included elements of each hero in the filmin one way or another.
“Basically every one of those characters has a logo that you would recognize without them standing there, and that’s a hard thing to achieve in this pop-culture world. We have history to draw on, but we also have these new frontiers to forge.”
The DC Extended Universe features a lineup of superhero films based on DC Comics characters. Starting with “Man of Steel,” it will continue this year with the release of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad.” Barry Allen/The Flash will be played by Ezra Miller, Aquaman will be played by Jason Momoa, and Cyborg will be played by Ray Fisher.
“Justice League Part One” and “Justice League Part Two” will hit theaters in 2017 and 2019, respectively.
