Actress Bryce Dallas Howard, lead star for the blockbuster hit “Jurassic World,” revealed how the people behind the sequel to the worldwide hit, dubbed simply as “Jurassic World 2,” try their best to keep details and plans regarding the film as secret as possible.
In this time and age, the word “leak” is almost always connected to everything that is new out there be it a film, a TV series, or a gadget; it’s a rare instance that something new would come as really new because most users have already seen what is being presented via leaks. While some love the idea of leaks and having to see something before it is officially revealed, there are people who are against it and do not want anything to do with it. Obviously, the people behind “Jurassic World 2” operate on the latter assumption.
In an interview with Cinema Blend, Howard revealed that the people behind the movie director J.A. Bayona, more specifically have taken steps in securing information about the film simply by not having anything written down or documented. Instead, details are only communicated verbally.
“Because you know what, the emailing and texting, you can’t go on record,” the actress said. “You can’t write anything down, commit to anything in writing. So, tonight I’ll just be like, ‘Can you verbally explain to me what’s happening?’ But we’ll shoot it next year.”
Though there haven’t been any leaks, plot rumors brought up in the past include a storyline for the sequel wherein there would be a smaller species of the dinosaurs, and the movie would somehow have these smaller creatures kept as domesticated pets, unlike the massive and monstrous-sized creatures that these dinosaurs usually come in as.
Another plotline that has been circulating in the rumor mill suggests that for the sequel, there is a strong possibility that the dinosaurs might be modified and weaponized for use by the government or military. The possibility of having a human hybrid with dinosaur DNA was also rumored to be coming for the sequel, no matter how far-fetched that rumor may actually sound like.
“Jurassic World 2,” whose official title has not yet been released, will premiere in theaters on June 22, 2018.
