Joni Mitchell condition update: singer continues to recover with therapy and is able to speak


Joni Mitchell, well-known and well-loved for her contributions and to the music industry, is already able to speak as of current update. She is presently undergoing daily therapy to help her walk and is resting for full recovery.

On March 31, she suffered a brain aneurysm, a condition that bulges blood vessels and can potentially cause brain damage. At the time, she was found unconscious in her Los Angeles home, but later regained consciousness as she was transported to the intensive care unit in UCLA Medical Center. “Joni is a strong-willed woman,” her friend Leslie Morris said, “and is nowhere near giving up the fight,” as reported by tribute blog Eco watch.

A website has created for her where the public can post encouragements and well-wishes to Joni.Fans have been posting how Joni has encouraged them through her music as well as prayers of healing and encouragement. To date, posts have reached more than 18,000 comments. Fans are also encouraged to use the hashtag #WeLoveYouJoni for other people who want to post on their own social media pages.

The music career of Joni started at the Big Sur Folk Festival in California in 1969 and she has continued to inspire more people with her music for more than 50 years now.

More known for her music, Joni Mitchell also contributed to the launch of Greenpeace, an organization focusing on preserving our environment for the forests, climate change and ecological farming, to name a few, at a concert in 1970.
