Almost a month before “Jessica Jones” hits Netflix, a new teaser has been released much to the delight of Marvel fans. Premiering on the French Netflix Twitter account, Jessica shows off more of her superpowers in the new preview.
The 49-second preview titled “Evening Stroll” is set at 23h57 (11:57 PM) at Hell’s Kitchen, New York. Jessica slowly walks to an intersection of a quiet and deserted street and looks around. As the camera pans, the superheroine looks back and either jumps or flies briefly to her office’s fire escape. A small sign to the left reads “Alias Investigations, 5th Floor.”
It is unclear whether the character flies or jumps incredibly high because even though she is able to fly, she is out of practice. In the comic books, Jessica eventually becomes a private investigator, and she opened her own firm called Alias Investigations.
Another reference that can be seen in the teaser is the advertisement captioned Trish Talk. The show is hosted by Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) also known as Hellcat, another superhero.
According to Comicbook.com, all three teasers for the upcoming series based on the Marvel character have been released across the entire “international spectrum” of the video streaming service. “The first teaser, released on the US Netflix account, centered on an actual alarm clock, with the titular character, played by Krysten Ritter, hitting snooze with a purpose (crushing it with super strength). The second teaser, from Netflix Japan, showed a bit of the super strength again on a bar jukebox, before showing Jones walking through the wreckage of a bar fight,” the report added.
With just 13 episodes for the first season, “Jessica Jones” will be available on Netflix starting November 20, 2015. The show stars Krysten Ritter, David Tennant, Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, and Erin Moriarty. Developed for the streaming service by Melissa Rosenberg, the show shares continuity with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
