NBA point guard Jeremy Lin is not happy with his performance on the court, with two other players being linked to his inconsistencies. To solve his current weakness, Lin asks his fans to pray with him by sending out a list of prayer requests.
The 27-year-old basketball star recently distributed his monthly prayer request to his fans via email. Joy Jeng posted a list of Lin’s prayer requests to his fans through his Twitter account. Among the six items, Lin mentioned, “Please pray for me as recently I have been frustrated with my jump shot and overall performance. The new shooting form has been one of the most frustrating things of my career. I know it will pay off in the long run but going through the adjustment process has been harder than I anticipated, so prayer for the right mindset, great muscle memory and a pure heart that shoots/plays solely for God’s approval would be greatly appreciated!”
Meanwhile, Lin’s frustrating performance is being linked to his team member, Kemba Walker. The Ecumenical News reported that Lin mentioned he is not able to get sufficient playing time on the court because Walker is the one controlling the game. His limited playing time hinders him from getting his own momentum in the game, therefore affecting his drive to do more and better.
In another report, Yibada stated that another reason for Lin’s reduced playing time over the past few weeks resulted from the arrival of Courtney Lee. Lin’s statistics show that he is averaging 11.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists within 26 minutes per game he plays for the Charlotte Hornets this season.
