Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz has married his girlfriend of four years, Christina Carano, in Pole Green Historic Church in Mechanicsville on Sunday, Oct 25, confirmed the representative of the crooner to E! News. The venue was extra special for Mraz as it was where he grew up and it holds a lot of memories for him.
The couple, known for their love of outdoors, opted for a small intimate wedding, inviting only 50 guests consisting of family and very close friends. Mraz took to his official Instagram account to share the news with everybody.
He posted a photo of Carano standing at the end of the aisle and captioned it, “Today I was made the luckiest man in the world.”
In the photo, the bride looks stunning in a high neck, sheer white wedding gown and a flower crown rather than a tiara as she stands in the middle of the venue which has the outdoor outline of a house complete with big window panes.
The couple met almost a decade ago when the 37-year-old singer was visiting a coffee shop formerly owned by Carano in Hermosa Beach, California. However, they were both seeing different people at that time and only started dating each other in 2011.
Mraz, who was once engaged to fellow singer-songwriter Tristan Prettyman, said about his now wife in the July/August issue of The Osider Magazine, “I felt and instant connection to her and have admired her integrity and practices since day one. Back then, we were dating other people and were both super busy with our careers. But I did always say to myself, ‘I hope I meet a girl like her someday.'”
In the same interview, the brunette beauty who hails from Michigan also lovingly talked about the “I’m Yours” singer, saying that she had long had a crush on him and she feels really blessed that they make a great team together.
“He’s the most loving, generous, and most hardworking man I know,” she said. “These are the most attractive qualities I could ever ask for in a partner. He inspires me and empowers me every day to live my best life and he cares so deeply about the things that really matter. We’re truly blessed in so many ways.”
