The “Jane the Virgin” lead star found a new gig, but she will not act in person for this one.

According to Variety, actress Gina Rodriguez will voice the titular character in “Carmen Sandiego” on Netflix.

The animated series is based on an educational mystery video game of the same name. Broderbund Software developed the game and published it in 1985. It features ACME Detective Agency, an organization which primarily aims to track criminal mastermind Carmen Sandiego. The agency aims to stop her and her henchmen from committing crimes, specifically burglary, around the world.

Because of its popularity, publishers released a book series based on the franchise. Later on, a television series adaptation, “Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego,” which ran for 40 episodes between 1994 and 1998, went on air.

Netflix will air 20 episodes for the upcoming animated series. Each episode will run for 22 minutes. Apart from Rodriguez, Finn Wolfhard of “Stranger Things” will also voice Player, Carmen’s right-hand man.

In other news (via Entertainment Weekly), “Jane the Virgin” showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman confirmed that Jane will find love again.

At the show’s For Your Consideration panel, Urman answered “Yes” when asked if Jane will find someone to love again.

“What I want to see in the back half of the series is how she regains some of that optimism, some of that love, and starts to believe in romance again and how it’s different from what she first thought it was,” the executive producer explained. She added that the series will focus on this and how Jane will start to “believe in magic again.”

In the next episode, Rogelio’s (Jaime Camil) daughter seems very smitten with his young co-star, Fabian. Will Fabian be Jane’s new love interest?

The third season of “Jane the Virgin” will continue on April 24 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
