American comedy drama telenovela “Jane the Virgin” has had two successful seasons and good news for the passionate fans of the show it’ll be up for a season 3 premiere very soon. And while there is so much to look forward to in the new season, there really is only one question everyone wants to ask come third season will Jane, played by Gina Rodriguez, finally lose her virginity?
The finale of season 2 ended in tragedy when Jane’s new husband Michael (Brett Dier) was shot, and everyone still has no clue if he survived the gunshot wound and gets to live another day, or season for that matter. It therefore is fair to speculate that the first couple of episodes of season 3 will focus on the shooting incident and the fate of Michael. But for now, it wouldn’t be making any sense if he dies because if that happens, it certainly would mean Jane will remain a virgin.
Well, if it is any indication, the show’s executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman told ET Online in an interview that Jane will definitely lose her virginity in season 3 but stressed that it won’t happen during the season opener. This confirmation has fueled reports that the title of the show will be tweaked a bit, with the word “virgin” still appearing, but this time, it’ll be crossed off.
So that would leave viewers with so many more questions to ask, specifically on how the show will proceed in the next season now that the storyline is expected to be altered. A huge part of the series’ success is because of the unique plot centered on the lead character that is able to keep her virginity while struggling with her life and romantic relationships.
The new season of The CW’s “Jane the Virgin” will premiere on Monday, Oct. 17.
