After stressing over their delayed honeymoon night, Jane (Gina Rodriguez) will continue to work on her thesis in the upcoming, brand-new installment of The CW’s soap opera “Jane the Virgin” season 3.
It can be recalled that episode 2 focused on Jane and Michael’s (Brett Dier) special night. In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman revealed that there was so much pressure in the writers’ room to create the perfect moment.
“That made me start to think about, ‘Is anybody’s first time perfect?’ … I feel like we’ve integrated our own anxiety and Jane’s anxiety [into a] really, really fun [and] different hour,” she stated.
Titled “Chapter Forty-Seven,” episode 3 will have the titular protagonist deciding to add Alba’s (Ivonne Coll) estranged sister to the narrative. However, Alba will not be happy about it. Meanwhile, in order for Rogelio (Jaime Camil) to have a chance at being an American crossover star, he decides to bring the “Passions of Santos” to The CW in the hope that the network will pick it up.
Elsewhere, Xo (Andrea Navedo) thinks about abandoning her dream of being a singer for something more realistic. Luisa (guest star Yara Martinez) will also be forced to choose between her family and Rose (guest star Bridget Regan).
Down the line, episode 4 dubbed “Chapter Forty-Eight” will feature the newlyweds, Jane and Michael, hosting a housewarming party in their new home. However, the festive event hits a snag when they discover they are being evicted for not paying rent.
Moreover, Rogelio still tries to break into American television and he will need some unusual help from Rafael (Justin Baldoni). Xo also makes a new career choice, but both Alba and Jane are not convinced that the option is for her. In addition, “Petra” (Yael Grobglas) shocks Rafael with what she wants to do with her shares of the hotel.
“Jane the Virgin” season 3 episode 3 is slated to air on Monday, Oct. 31 at 9 p.m. ET. It will be followed by episode 4 on Nov. 7.
