iPhone 7 rumors: 256GB storage, bigger battery expected for 7 Plus


As early as now, rumors pertaining to Apple’s upcoming next iteration of the iPhone had been popping up one by one. This time, a new report surfaces claiming that the upcoming iPhone 7 Plus variant will be featuring not only a bigger displayas what the variant name denotesbut also a bigger internal storage capacity.

According to e report by MyDriversvia Gadgetz Arenathe upcoming IPhone 7 Plus variant will allegedly have a much bigger internal storage capacity option as well as battery capacity compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 6 Plus. According to the report, the iPhone 7 Plus will feature an option for users that includes a version that has a 256GB internal storage capacity.

With Apple’s new support for 4K video recording, it is already expected that the company will also improve on the storage capacity of their new devices. However, with the previous criticisms that the 16GB internal storage capacity, received Apple explained that they are promoting online cloud storage via iCloud. Users can use the said service to store and download all of their content anytime and anywhere. The standard iPhone 7 will not feature this upgraded memory option, the report stated.

Additionally, the iPhone 7 Plus will allegedly have improved battery life compared to the older models. A larger 3,100 mAh capacity was hinted, which is approximately 12 percent larger compared to the 2,750 mAh battery capacity of the iPhone 6s Plus, which is equivalent to two to three hours of longer usage.

It is worth noting that Apple reduced the battery capacity of the 6s Plus compared to the standard 6 Plus, citing the power efficiency of the new A9 chip, which makes up for the less power available, all the while making the device thinner and lighter with the smaller battery installed in it.
