iPad Air 3 release date update: October launch happening?

The long rumored iPad Air 3 is finally coming to users this October at least, that’s what is being claimed by the latest reports in the rumor mill.

As per the latest reports, it was hinted at that Apple might be finally launching the new iPad Air 3, alongside the also long rumored iPad mini 5 tablet. The two devices are said to have a launch window of SeptemberOctober. The new alleged devices are set to be introduced following the highly anticipated launch of the upcoming iPhone 7 series.

News of the purported October release came in after a long series of rumors and speculations pointing out that Apple would instead be discontinuing the entire line of iPad Air tablets and would only focus on the new line that they have now, the iPad Pro line.

What made the suggestion believable was that during the time when the iPad Air 3 was strongly expected to be finally launched alongside the 4-inch iPhone SE what came was something that was similar to how the iPad Air 3 was rumored to be like, but only thing was, it was called as the new iPad Pro 9.7.

In a previous report, it was said that while Apple may still be pushing through with the release of the long rumored iPad Air 3, the company is said to be finally burying the entire iPad Air line of tablets following the release of the third installment in the series.

In addition to that, the Cupertino-based company is said to be working on choosing the right features and the right set of hardware specifications for the upcoming iPad Air 3, which would still make it a distinguishable device that is separate from the iPad Pro 9.7 tablet.

With the iOS 10 now on public beta and the third developer preview stage, it is expected that if and when the iPad Air 3 does get released, it would be running on the newest version of the software.
