In just a little more than a week, fans will get to see the premiere of the much-awaited part two of Hunger Games Mockingjay. However, even before the film hits the theatres, avid fans may already have a hint of the ending as actress Jennifer Lawrence may have let slip about it during an interview.
At the red carpet London premiere on November 6, Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the heroine Katniss Everdeen in the movie, said that the most difficult scene to film was President Snow’s (Donald Sutherland) assassination, reports Hollywood Life.
Katniss has been trying her best to bring down the Capitol in order to protect her family and friends from the further harm of the government. However, it seems that at the last moment, instead of shooting President Snow with an arrow, she alters the direction of the weapon to hit President Colin (Julianne Moore) instead.
She may have just given one critical plot of the story without knowing it. However, it is also possible that she is playing with the minds of the fans to avoid spoiling the ending of the story, especially to the fans who have not read the novel.
Last month, Francis Lawrence, director of the movie, talked about what to expect in the final installment of the movie. He said: “Visually it’s different because it’s a very different story. The last one takes place underground and Katniss is sidelined. There’s a lot less action and it’s dark and claustrophobic. This one’s very different. Very quickly we’re out of District 13 and in District 2. And we spend a lot of time in the Capitol. That gives a different foundation for visual choices that opens the film up in a much bigger way. It’s much more epic,” reports Games Radar.
Hunger Games Mockingjay part 2 will hit the big screen on November 20.
