Chinese maker Huawei is also contending well in the smartphone market as it continues to bring competitive devices, making users look forward to its next flagship. Last April, the company released Huawei P8, which boasts a premium look and slim body. With this, rumors have circulated that the Huawei will release its next flagship at the end of this year.
However, new speculations are surfacing about a March 2016 release instead, which is almost a year after the P8 debuted. According to a translated report from Mobile Dad, there were sources who “broke the news” about the successor of P8. The report was quick to advice that the news should be taken with a grain of salt, as no official word has been released from Huawei. However, it admits that the rumor is possible because of the “P series’ replacement cycle.”
Huawei P9 is expected to come with a 5.2-inch display and a “curved design.” The device is guessed to be powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 processor, but the translated report indicated that the sources revealed a Unicorn 950 processor, along with 4GB RAM. Aside from these, Huawei P9 is also anticipated to infuse a dual camera with laser autofocus feature for its main shooter. There might also be a fingerprint scanner as this is a popular feature included in most of new devices.
Meanwhile, aside from Huawei P9, there are also rumors that the company will also introduce a Huawei P9 Max next year with a 6.2-inch screen display. It is still uncertain whether Huawei will unveil both devices at the same time.
