Recent leaks regarding Huawei’s next flagship, P9, are doing the rounds on the internet.
The rumor is that P9 will have a dual camera at the back with LED flash openings and a possible laser autofocus, notes GSM Arena. The autofocus is a popular infusion to smartphones in order for the camera to respond faster when snapping photos, while retaining the quality. According to speculations, the two holes will comprise a 16 megapixel shooter with optical image stabilization feature, but it is unclear whether both cameras will house the same shooting capability.
Aside from the camera enhancements, earlier rumors indicate a 5.2-inch screen with a 1080×1920 pixel density at 424 pixels per inch. It may be powered by a Kirin 950 chipset, to which some responded positively, while others prefered a Qualcomm Snapdragon technology. Nonetheless, Tech Times mentioned that Kirin 950 may not be bad as it scored higher in benchmark tests compared to the chipset that Samsung used in its latest devices, Exynos 7420. Aside from a possible Kirin 950, P9 is said to have octacores with four Cortex A72 and four Cortex A57, along with a Mali T880 GPU and a 4GB RAM. It is also said to be coming with a finger-print scanner.
P9 is also rumored to be coming in two variants, which are called LTE and Delux models, as the photo shows two labels with slightly different holes. It is still unclear at the moment what the distinction of the two models will be, but it is likely to be just a variety of sizes and power.
P9 may be banking on a higher-tier market for its upcoming flagship. Some suggest that P9 may come with a variant of P9 Max and P9 Mini after its debut. Huawei P9 is anticipated to be released during the first half of 2016.
