Huawei is slated to introduce a new handset in a few days. Tech watchers are on the lookout for the Huawei Mate 9, as the smartphone is said to come with some new features which include a fingerprint scanner on the back. Now, a new report claims that images of what appear to be the instruction manual for the Mate 9 have surfaced, confirming that the phone will have a dual camera setup, among others.
According to Phone Arena, images of the upcoming phone’s manual have leaked online and apart from having a dual camera setup at the device’s rear, it will be accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash. The rear cameras are said to be comprised of a 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel sensors, and the front shooter is said to have an 8-megapixel sensor. The phone will also have a Type-C USB port and a microSD card slot for those who want additional storage space.
It was said that Huawei will release three versions of the Mate 9 one with 4 GB of random access memory (RAM) and 64 GB internal storage, another with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage, and a premium model with 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The phones are expected to come pre-installed with Android 7.0 Nougat with Huawei’s Emotion user interface (UI) on top.
More news about the Huawei Mate 9 has been leaked by internet tipster Evan Blass, known as @evleaks on Twitter. Over the weekend, Blass took to the microblogging site to share some news about the device, saying that the Mate 9 will feature 4x optical zoom. Blass also gave some information about the smartphone’s price, telling consumers that the higher spec’d model said to be called the Huawei Mate 9 Pro could make a big dent in one’s wallet.
“Pricing on a spec’ed out Pro is enough to give you a heart attack: $1300,” wrote Blass.
