Huawei Android Marshmallow updates: Huawei releases initial list of devices updating to Android Marshmallow 6.0


With the latest version of the Android operating system now coming anytime soonthe Android Marshmallow 6.0more and more mobile manufacturers have been revealing their initial list of the smartphones that will be getting the sweet taste of the new Marshmallow now that it has come to users. Just recently, Chinese mobile developer Huawei revealed their initial list of their devices that will be getting their fix of the Marshmallow.

As revealed by Huawei, initial list of devices that will be getting the Android Marshmallow update anytime soon include:

  • P8
  • Ascend Mate 7
  • Ascend G7
  • Honor 7
  • Honor 7i
  • Honor 6
  • Honor 6 Plus
  • MediaPad X2
  • Honor 4X
  • Honor 4C
  • Mate S

However, it is worth noting that updates announced for the following devices are only meant for the device versions sold and used in the Chinese region. There is no word yet for a release for the update for international users.

Other mobile manufacturers that have announced their initial list of Android Marshmallow update include Sony, which even has devices that will be skipping Android Lollipop 5.1 and will jump straight to Android Marshmallow 6.0 form Android Lollipop 5.0. These are: the Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia C4, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M4 Aqua, and the Xperia M5.

Additionally, an announcement via the official HTC USA Twitter account revealed that updates for Android Marshmallow 6.0 will start rolling out before the end of this year. First of in the list is the HTC One M8 and the One M9, as well as the One M9 +. Other devices are the One E9, One E9+, One ME and the One E8, along with the One M8 EYE. The HTC Desire 826, Desire 820 as well as the Desire 816 are all up to get their fix on the latest Android OS version anytime soon. The new HTC Butterfly 3 will also be getting the update to the new software version.
