HTC One X9 specs: Device passes through TENAA; images, specs revealed


The long rumored HTC One X9 smartphone, after being a hot topic of various rumors and leaks in the rumor mill, can now be considered as an officially existing device. The One X9 recently passed through Chinese certification and regulatory body TENAA.

The TENAA listing also revealed some of the devices key hardware and software specifications. The HTC One X9 sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with a 19201080 Full HD resolution. It is 153.2 mm tall, 75.9 mm in width, and 7.99 mm thin. The device weighs only 165 grams.

The One X9 runs under an octa-core processor of yet unspecified brand but is said to be Qualcomm’s recently launched Snapdragon 820 chipset with a CPU clocking in at a speed of 2.2 GHz. It packs 2 GB worth of RAM along with 16 GB worth of built-in internal storage capacity. It supports external microSD expansion of up to 1 TB worth, or at least up to the highest capacity of a microSD card available in the mass market right now.

As for the camera, the HTC One X9 smartphone sports a 13-megapixel main rear camera coupled with a 5-megapixel front facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls.

The device is powered by a 3000 mAh battery and runs on Android Lollipop 5.0.2. Connectivity options supported by the device include Bluetooth, USB, GPS, GSM, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE, 4G LTE FDD, and WCDMA. The HTC One X9 is listed in Silver Gray color variant.

The listing also showed images of the device on all sides. No official word is available from HTC as of the moment, but users and fans are already expecting official updates form the company following the TENAA certification of the device.
