A new and improved version of the HTC One M9 is coming out by October.
According to a report by Christian Today, the new M9 is actually the HTC Aero but the company decided instead to rebrand and relaunch the product as the new M9 to make up for the poor showing of the current One M9 on the market.
To its credit, the current phone received good reviews from tech reviewers, but it also received its fair share of criticism. Tech Radar said that it was a luxury design that forgets about the basics, citing its expensive price, short battery life and very little improvement from its predecessor, the M8.
CNet , in its review agreed that the battery and the camera quality were not good enough and said that the phone lacked speed and software improvements to make it rise above the competition.
When the new HTC One M9 comes out, it is rumored to sport a sleek design that is slim and encased in a full metal body. It will also reportedly have a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with curved glass feature that has a Gorilla Glass 4 panel for durability.
It is also expected to have a MediaTek Helio X20 processor with 4 GB of RAM. In terms of media, it took note of earlier criticism about the camera and improved its capacity to have f/1.9 aperture which allows users to shoot good photos even with low light cnditions. It is also rumored to run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow upon its release.
In related news, the HTC One M8 is reportedly receive an Android upgrade to support the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS as well. The announcement was made via Twitter post of Mo Versi, US Product Manager in the US, reported Neurogadget.
