The long rumored HTC One A9, codenamed Aero, is once more hot on the rumor mill, as latest report suggests a change in the operating system version that it will come out with.
As revealed by LlabTooFer (@LlabTooFer on Twitter), the new HTC flagship, the One A9 “Aero” will be booting on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box, despite Geekbench benchmark results previously detailing that the alleged flagship will boot on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 The leaker also claimed that the One A9 “Aero” will have Sense 7 UI running on top of the Android operating system.
The Twitter leaker also said that the upcoming HTC flagship will be coming around October to November of this year, unlike previous rumors pointing to a possible launch of the HTC One A9 at the company’s “The World Best Meets The Best” event on September 29, where they are expected two launch two new flagships.
In a previous report by Gizmo China, the HTC One M9, or also known by the codename “Aero”, will be running under a massively powerful deca-core (TEN cores) Helio X20 processor. This, along with the other key specifications of the phone, was revealed via a leaked Geekbench benchmark results.
According to the benchmark results, the new deca-core Helio X20 MT6797 processor on the HTC One A9 scored 1835 in the single core test, which the report noted that is as high as the score that the dual-core NVIDIA Tegra K1 got for the Nexus 9. On the 10-core test, the HTC One A9 was on the top of everyone, even beating Samsung’s very own Exynos 7420 with a score of 5884 points.
The 10 cores of the HTC One A9 is divided into one dual A72 cores, and an octa-core A53. This is to ensure that the chip will be able to give maximum performance without exhausting the capacity of the battery of the device, and thus to prevent overheating, too.
Other details that the Geekbench result revealed is that the HTC One A9 will pack 4 GB of RAM, and will boot on Android Lollipop 5.1.
