HTC Desire 10 release date news: Evan Blass leaks a September launch date for Lifestyle, Pro

The launch date for the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle and Desire 10 Pro has been leaked along with specifications of the former’s handset.

According to the mobile industry tipster Evan Blass, the HTC 10 Desire 10’s two variants, the Lifestyle and the Pro, are due to arrive by the end of September. His source is revealed to be “someone briefed on the company’s plans,” but it is unclear what that someone’s relationship with HTC is. Blass has a track record of leaking accurate information, so while this is branded as a rumor for now, this has some weight to it.

Furthermore, the specifications of the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle was also revealed to the VentureBeat writer. According to the tipster’s report, the lower-specced sibling comes with a 5.5-inch 720p display and different matte colors with a metallic gold trim on the edges of the handset and hardware peripherals such as the camera lens and flash.

The back should have a 13-megapixel (MP) camera with a light emitting diode (LED) flash and a backside-illuminated (BSI) sensor. The front snapper should have 5 MP with the same sensor.

Under the hood is said to be a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC with unknown configuration. The HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle also comes in two variants with different random access memory (RAM) and storage pairing. The 2-gigabyte (GB) version comes with 16 GB of internal storage while the 3 GB one has a 32 GB memory capacity. It is unknown if there is a microSD slot to expand storage memory.

The HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle is also revealed to have Boomsound Hi-Fi Edition stereo speakers with 24-bit system audios.

The specifications for the HTC Desire 10 Pro were not disclosed, but it should have more power and better features than the Lifestyle.

It is unknown how much the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle and Pro are going to be sold. More reports about availability and pricing are expected to come in the coming weeks.
