Thursday brought a record low to “How to Get Away with Murder” season 2 with the airing of its latest episode titled “Two Birds, One Millstone.” Despite the low ratings it received, TV by the Numbers says that ABC’s legal-mystery drama is still safe. Also, it should be noted that two more big shows air on the same night, “Scandal” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” and all three TV series are from acclaimed writer-producer Shonda Rhimes.
In Thursday’s episode of “How to Get Away with Murder,” Annalise Keating (Viola Davis), a professor of law at Middleton University, defended a transgender client accused of murdering her husband. There were also some developments in the Hapstall case in which a new suspect was uncovered by the Keating Five, the interning students at Annalise’s firm.
Along with these students Laurel (Karla Souza), Michaela (Aja Noami King), Connor (Jack Falahee), Wes (Alfred Enoch), and Asher (Matt McGorry) Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber) and lawyer Bonnie Winterbottom (Liza Weil) also work for Annalise. With them, a new character was also introduced into the show who may be Helena Hapstall’s son, Philip Jessup. That he has been spying on Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) and Connor was also revealed.
Eight more episodes in the 15-episode season 2 of “How to Get Away with Murder” have yet to be shown, the next two being “Hi, I’m Philip,” airing on Nov. 12, and “What Did We Do?” on Nov. 19.
These upcoming episodes, in time, are bound to prove whether the girl on the video is really Bonnie. Fans strongly believe that it is not her on the clip, even as Annalise visits Asher in his apartment to show him a video in which a young Bonnie is being molested by her father. Asher believes Bonnie to be capable of the crime of killing Sam, although Bonnie’s confession of the crime had been untrue.
Is this another of Annalise’s lowdown tactics? Will she get away with it?
