'How to Get Away with Murder' news: Viola Davis wins SAG award; teaser features Annalise holding a baby

ABC’s critically acclaimed thriller drama “How to Get Away with Murder” has been recognized once again for its outstanding run during this year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Lead star Viola Davis, who plays Annalise Keating, took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. She took to Twitter to send her gratitude saying, “Thank you @sagaftra, so appreciative of my peers! Congrats to all the winners and nominees tonight! #SAGawards

When it comes to the highly anticipated return of the show for season 2 this month, the teaser trailer featured interesting and mind-boggling developments in the narrative.

The clip showcased the words “Shock, gasp, repeat” with all the cast members dealing with an apparent dilemma at hand. It ended with Nate Lahey saying, “Do you want to die” while Annaliese goes out to the porch cradling a baby and looking hysterical. She is shouting, “I can’t!”

Hypable speculated that the last scene on the footage seems to be either a flashback or a dream sequence, and it is plausible that the baby may be Wes. However, it remains to be seen whose baby it is.

Davis previously teased that her character survives the ordeal in the midseason finale wherein she was shot by Wes, “Annalise is fine. Listen, Annalise is working it out like we are all working it out.” She also hinted that there will be more details about the name “Christoph” she uttered during the episode, “It’s one of responsibility and protection. But I think that may be in question after what he did to me.”

Meanwhile, the network revealed the official synopsis for the upcoming installment which reads, “A few weeks have passed since Wes shot Annalise. Wes and The Keating 5 deal with the fallout from that night, as Annalise is faced with a complicated road to recovery on How to Get Away with Murder.”

“How to Get Away with Murder” returns to the small screens for season 2 on Feb. 11.
