In just two weeks, season 4 of “House of Cards” will be returning to the small screen, with the official trailer showing the mounting tension between Frank and Claire Underwood as well as the electoral campaign.

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, Netflix revealed, “Frank and Claire continue their pursuit for power, battling everyone in their way, including each other.”

The one-minute trailer highlighted and built the hype for the show. It may even include some betrayals, hoodwinking, blackmailing, and manipulation. The video starts off with Claire (Robin Wright) peeking from a room, with the voice of Frank’s (Kevin Spacey) in the background saying, “you have no idea what it means to have nothing.”

Frank continues to tell how his wife does not give importance to their current status and what he fought for to get this, followed by snippets of cold stares, silent signals, and glimpses between the two.

The clip went on to show snapshots of the different scenes that are coming for the season, which include some romances, campaigns, and under the table transactions, before being disrupted with what looks like an attack during a campaign.

Toward the end of the video, it showed several intriguing scenes, including blood dripping out of a faucet, a person in a hospital, and some fights. After which, Claire says, “I saw a future, our future.”

However, Frank simply replied, “We had a future until you started destroying it.”

There are several rumors and speculations regarding Frank and Claire’s “pursuit of power,” including a theory that Claire may go as far as running for presidency to go against her husband or join the opposition’s team as a vice president candidate. Earlier this month, there were also rumors that Frank may go as far as killing his wife to eliminate competition, especially since he has not shown remorse on killing people in the past seasons.

“House of Cards” season 4 will premiere on March 4 on Netflix.
