'Halo 5' news: 'Cartographer's Gift' to feature updates, weapons; loyalty program to reward players for playing daily

Microsoft and 343 Industries announced that they will be releasing a big update titled “Cartogrtapher’s Gift” as part of its free updates for “Halo 5: Guardians,” for the month of December. This includes a bevy of cool stuff that gamers will be happy to get.

According to a report by Gotta Be Mobile, there will be many improvements and changes that will be brought to the game such as the forge mode, team battle maps, power-ups, and the introduction of new incentives to encourage more players to log in daily.

The update will also feature new weapons, armor sets, assassinations, a new warzone, and arenas.

The best part is that all these come with no extra cost.

So far, there is no official release date announced by Microsoft or 343 Industries, but it is expected to come out by the end of the week.

In order to get the update, players should have the Always Connected Power mode turned on and the update will automatically be downloaded.

For those who are not connected to the feature, a pop up will prompt players once the update is released and all that needs to be done is for them to download and install the update.

Meanwhile, a report by Gamespot indicated there will also be a loyalty program that will boost rewards for players who will continuously play the multiplayer modes in the arena and warzone.

According to the report, players get free req packs just for playing and get even more incentives by being consistent. This may be a way to promote the multiplayer modes or simply a way to encourage players to make a habit of playing daily.

However, the rewards will not be given simply by signing up. They will have to earn the rewards by actually winning matches.
