Halo 5: Guardians is getting closer and closer, and now the official game file size as well as the day one patch update size has been revealed, along with the release of the game’s full official soundtrack.
Following a leak of the back cover of the Xbox One game box details that revealed a game file size of “up to 60 GB”, Microsoft confirmed the official game file size for Halo 5: Guardians is less than 60 GB.
“Halo 5: Guardians will require approximately 55GB of hard drive space for the complete game,” a Microsoft representative told Game Informer. “Digital copies will include the full game (~55GB), and disc copies will require approximately a 9GB download for multiplayer map content.”
This means that the main game as loaded in the physical disc edition will be at around 44 GB in size, as well as the digital download version. Users who will avail of the digital copy can download the day one patch ahead of the game’s release via Xbox One Instant On feature, which can be loaded immediately with the main game once it is downloaded. Users who will be getting the physical copy would need to download the patch after loading the disc. The patch size for both versions of the game will be at around 9 GB in size.
Developer 343 Industries also released the official soundtrack for Halo 5: Guardians. The music for the game was composed by Kazuma Jinnouchi, whose recent work include Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots. The official OST has two discs and 39 tracks, and will be available in physical discs and vinyl formats on October 30.
In other news, 343 also revealed the complete Achievements available on launch consists of 65 different awards which, when all completed, consists of a total of 1000 Gamerscore.
The list of achievements consists of the most basic ones like completing Missions, clearing maps, defeating bosses, and the like to the easiest and to the hardest ones to accomplish.
Finding and claiming all Intel in the game will award the player the “Hunt The Truth” achievement, equivalent to 40 Gamerscore points. Finishing the game on Heroic difficulty also awards 40 Gamerscore points, and unlocks the “Heroes Rise” achievements.
Feeling like a pro? Finish the game on Legendary difficulty and unlock the “Forging a Legend” achievement, with 60 Gamerscore points. Feeling like a real legend now? Clear the game on Legendary difficultyall aloneand get the highest Gamerscore award for a single achievement on the game: “Lone Wolf”, for 100 Gamerscore points.
