He is Star Lord’s henchman. At least, he thinks he is.
In a recent episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the host’s sidekick, Guillermo Rodriguez, landed on the set of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” to garner some acting advice from the lead stars, including Chris Pratt and Kurt Russell.
Rodriguez first met Pratt, who portrays Star-Lord/Peter Quill, to talk about the essentials of acting, which turned out to be very simple.
“There’s three looks,” Pratt explained. “The first one: Happy; The next one: Sad; and then the third one: Scared. That’s all you need,” he went on to say.
“What about sexy?” the sidekick followed up his question.
“Just use scared,” Pratt answered jokingly.
After that, Rodriguez also had a chat with Russell, who plays Ego the Living Planet and the long-lost father of Quill.
“Just remember this one thing — whatever you do, don’t f**k up,” said the veteran actor.
Later on, the Hispanic-American crony went on a make-up and costume fitting session with Dave Bautista, who plays Drax the Destroyer. Rodriguez felt so excited with his first ever real acting gig.
Before filming, James Gunn, the director of the epic film, provided Rodriguez some instructions about his role as a police officer.
Finally, back at Kimmel’s show, they played the two-second scene. However, only the sidekick’s head was seen, and it only appeared from a far away distance.
In other related news, Pratt took Marvel’s fans a tour on the set of the “’Guardians of the Galaxy” sequel. The tour was part of his charity effort to raise money for the Boys and Girls’ Club in Lake Stevens, Washington, his hometown.
In collaboration with Omaze, the winner will get a chance to spend some “superhero” time with the actor.
“I teamed up with Omaze to offer you the chance to be my comrade for a day on this set of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,’” Pratt announced in a video clip.
To join the project, viewers have to log on to Omaze.com/Chris.
Meanwhile, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” will hit theaters on May 5.
