'GTA VI' rumors: Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes being lined up as game's main characters?

Is GTA VI coming anytime soon?

With the latest Grand Theft Auto game, GTA V, receiving nothing but positive reviews and feedback, the game and the franchise is undeniably a success. As early as now, fan wishes and speculation about the sequel to GTA V is starting its rounds on the Internet.

Right now, there are already a handful of rumors about the next installment.

According to Day Herald, there are rumors that actors Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are being eyed as the main characters in the upcoming sixth instalment of the hit game franchise. This was further supported by rumors of a female lead character for the game which, if rumors prove true, could be Eva Mendes.

Additionally, Rockstar is said to have plans of linking key elements of the upcoming game to other franchises from the company. It is speculated that Ryan Gosling would be linked to the world of Red Dead Redemption.

As to its location, there are a lot of possibilities. Master Herald said that it could be set in different US cities. Other choices are London and the Middle East. Perhaps the most interesting speculation is that GTA VI may go for a retro feel in terms of graphics.  Is this even possible, a throwback on the next-gen graphics of the GTA V?

So, what does Rockstar have in mind for the GTA VI? Is the game even in the talks as early as now? Rockstar North president Leslie Benzies hinted at the possible scope of the expected sequel to the massive hit gaming franchise.

“We’ve got about 45 years’ worth of ideas we want to do. We don’t know what GTA VI will be, but we’ve got some ideas. GTA Online is the focus right now. There ain’t no rest between finishing V and then Online. Plus we have some other things stuff, DLC, I don’t know how to describe it exactly that we’d like to do, and we’ll pick the right ones,” Benzies said in an interview over Develop Online.
