The sixth and final season of “Grimm” will have a lot in store for fans as Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) will have to face the truth about himself which he has been running away from ever since. Reports say Nick will have to embrace his Grimm heritage as he chooses between the welfare of others or his own selfish interests.
Sources say Nick and Juliette Silverton aka Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) fans will have something to look forward to in the upcoming season. Juliette will allegedly get her memory back when she is healed by some kind of magic stick. However, they won’t have time to celebrate since they will have to face dozens of Wesens who are out to kill them.
It is also rumored that Sergeant Drew Wu (Reggie Lee) will be featured more prominently in the upcoming season as he continues to assist Nick and the rest of the gang with the lycanthrope powers he gained last season.
Meanwhile, avid fans of “Grimm” are still holding on to hope for a seventh season despite NBC’s decision to end the series after season 6. Fans have recently launched an online petition asking NBC to reconsider, and if the network goes ahead and cancels the show as planned, the petitioners are asking another network to pick up the show.
As the online petition nears its goal of 12,000 supporters, NBC has yet to address the request of the fans. Fans have also put up another petition on Change.org asking Netflix to pick up the series. While the fan support for “Grimm” is admirable, there is nothing they can do if the studio opts to end the series.
“Grimm” season 6 will premiere on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. However, the upcoming season will only have 13 episodes unlike the previous ones with 22.
