Even though NBC announced that fantasy television drama, “Grimm” is coming to a close after season 6, there still is huge expectation for what will turn out to be an incredible series ending. “Grimm” has been around since 2011, but when NBC figured out that viewership has not improved in the past season, the thought of giving it its last hurrah was finally made official.
It seems like Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) and his crew just couldn’t get enough of those creatures and monsters all series long as they potentially will face a legendary one something that could very well give the best possible ending for the show.
In a recent TV Line revelation, a legendary monster is indeed coming to get Nick and his people, and it’s something (or someone) who’s quite familiar in this niche. It is said that a good number of episodes will actually be exclusively reserved for Frankenstein’s arrival.
With Frankenstein’s entry, the series is expected to go back to its original roots of offering viewers enough scare to balance with the drama component. It’s no longer a secret that season 6 will be showing more of how Nick’s relationship with Adalind Schade (Claire Coffee) and Juliette Silverton/Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) will eventually end up. But a romantic angle simply won’t be enough to give this popular show the incredible ending it deserves.
It may be tough for fans of “Grimm” to accept the show’s end, especially upon learning that it will only consist of 13 episodes, which is just a little over half of the usual 22 episodes that the previous seasons had. Although loyal viewers would want to see it for several more seasons, NBC decided to pull the plug because the ratings haven’t been the same as of the previous season.
Season 6 of “Grimm” is set to premiere on Jan. 6 via NBC.
