The upcoming episode of “Grimm” season 5 will find an old Wesen warrior in the world of Luchador through the help of a mask maker.
Titled “Silence of the Slams,” the official synopsis posted on TV.com, it reads, “An ancient Wesen warrior tradition finds its way into the modern world of Luchador wrestling thanks to a local maskmaker. As Nick, Hank, Monroe and Rosalee try to put a stop to the bloodshed that is taking place, Capt. Renard mulls over an offer that could bring him closer to claiming his destiny. Meanwhile, new questions are raised as a result of Eve’s snooping around.”
In the promotional trailer of episode 13, the preview initially shows a mask that looks like a cat that is and described as something that “can give anyone a Wesen strength.” Hank (Russel Hornsby) and Nick (David Giuntoli) will be facing a powerful and difficult enemy, as the villain puts on the mask and easily throws them off their guards.
The title seems to be aptly named, as looking at the sneak peek, Nick seems “silenced” and powerless on the attacks or “slams” of their enemy. The upcoming episode marks a new milestone for its 101st episode, after “Grimm” season 5 aired its 100th episode last week called “Into The Schwarzwald.”
Meanwhile, Giuntoli spoke to Los Angeles Times last week about the 100th episode, saying that there were highs and lows of the show, but they had to work on it each episode.
He explained, “People ask me what it’s like to reach 100 episodes, but really, ‘Grimm’ has always been a fighter. There are no movie stars on our show. We’ve never been a shoe-in. We’ve had to fight for our ratings and fight for our seasons.”
He added that they will continue working on each episodes ongoing, “we’re going to keep fighting, and it’s the best thing about our cast,” at least until the actor feels that the fight is over.
“Grimm” season 5 will air episode 13 on Mar. 18 on NBC.
