It looks like Japril fans are in for a promising year when the medical staff of the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital return for “Grey’s Anatomy” season 13.
When “Grey’s Anatomy” drew the curtains close on its twelfth season, April Kepner (Sarah Drew) just gave birth to a baby girl, an adorable little bundle of responsibility she shared with former husband, Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams).
The erstwhile couple where barely moments into their divorce when they found out about the pregnancy, an unexpected turning point that has since then served as a beacon of hope for their broken relationship, Drew told TV Guide back in February.
So when fellow actress and episode director Debbie Allen tweeted a photo of the cover page of the season 13 episode 1 script titled “Undo,” Japril fans the world over began speculating that the former couple may very well be headed for a much anticipated reconciliation.
Hope swelled even higher when Drew posted a behind-the-scenes photo of herself and Williams on Instragram on set during the first day of filming for the medical drama’s upcoming season. Drew herself is holding out hope for Japril to “undo” their divorce and get back together for their baby.
“I always, always, always hold out hope for Japril,” the red-haired actress said.
Another possible implication of the one-word title that loyal viewers of the long-running ABC series could expect, according to Parent Herald, is a possible falling out between half-sisters Meredith Grey, played by Ellen Pompeo, and Maggie Pierce, played by Kelly McCreary, over Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson), which could then lead to the undoing of their relationship.
These are just a couple of the many other things that fans can look forward to when “Grey’s Anatomy” returns to ABC for its 13th season next month, Sept. 22, Thursday at 8 p.m. EDT.
