Meredith seems to be finally ready to date once again, after the tragic death of her husband in the past season. However, the upcoming episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 12 will see her immediately regretting her decision.
In episode 15 titled “I Am Not Waiting Anymore,” Dr. Thorpe (Scott Elrod), who was initially introduced in the story as a military hospital doctor, asked Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) out for a date. The latter agreed, but in the preview for the upcoming episode, she looks like she regrets her decision.
Titled “When It Hurts So Bad,” the promotional video for episode 16 revealed that the conversation of the two doctors was initially smooth and perhaps even flirtatious. The clip teased the words, “they say, third time’s a charm,” before taking it back and indicating “or is it not” showing a series of scenes where Meredith ordered Dr. Thorpe out of the bedroom.
It seems like Meredith will suffer from a panic attack, while she and Dr. Thorpe are getting intimate. In the preview, the Grey Sloan doctor was screaming, leading her roommate Maggie (Kelly McCreary) to interrogate the naked Dr. Thorpe as to what happened and what he did. As for Meredith, she remained adamant with her decision to send out the person who she slept with. It is still uncertain what exactly led Meredith to react in that manner, but Dr. Thorpe may have said or done something that triggered her anger.
Meanwhile, Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) and Owen (Kevin McKidd), Maggie and Andrew (Giacomo Giannotti), and perhaps even Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew) will also be dealing with their relationships.
The official synopsis posted on TV Guide reads, “Meredith gets closer to Will, but then she has regrets. Meanwhile, Amelia reassesses her relationship with Owen; Catherine stirs the pot when visiting Jackson and April; and Maggie notices a detachment between herself and Andrew.”
“Grey’s Anatomy” season 12 will air episode 16 on March 31 at 8 P.M. ET on ABC.
