'Gravity Rush 2' DLC news: Raven's story DLC launches on March 21

New downloadable content (DLC) is coming for “Gravity Rush 2.”

Sony Interactive Entertainment, the publisher of the action-adventure video game, has announced that the new free DLC is scheduled to launch on March 21. The announcement was posted on PlayStation’s Twitter account with a teaser trailer.

The story-based DLC is titled “The Ark of Time Raven’s Choice,” and it’s designed to focus on the adventure of Kat’s partner, Raven.

“Alone, Raven must battle to save the Lost Children who were left trapped inside the Ark at the end of the first Gravity Rush,” according to the description displayed on the PlayStation website.

As previously seen in the Dec. 26 teaser trailer, the upcoming PlayStation 4 DLC will explore Raven’s past and present.

A report from Gematsu indicated that the add-on story arc will showcase some characters as new challengers. The characters include Lumino, Guardian of Light, and Tenebria, Guardian of Darkness. Both Lumino and Tenebria are crafted by guest graphic designer Tatsuya Yoshikawa.

Another character is the Garbage Collector, Guardian of Time and Space. Designed by Sawaki Takeyasu, the Garbage Collector is known as the “key” to Raven’s adventure.

It has been said that with the extra challenges provided, the DLC will add new elements to the main “Gravity Rush 2″ game. Once the player completed the DLC challenges, the maximum level in the Devool Trench Mine” will rise from 30 to 50. Also, the rarity value of Talismans will increase.

Developed by SIE Japan Studio and Project Siren, the sequel to “Gravity Rush” was released in January of this year. The most astounding mechanics of the game is the player’s potential to manipulate gravity. The ability to control gravity allows the video game player to execute distinct movements and navigation.

The gameplay of “Gravity Rush 2” utilizes four gravity styles: Lunar, Jupiter, lighter Lunar, and heavier Jupiter.
