'Girl Meets World' season 4 renewed or cancelled? Rowan Blanchard denies rumors

“Girl Meets World” star Rowan Blanchard recently opened up about the spreading rumors regarding the cancellation of the Disney channel show, allegedly due to problems related to her real-life relationship with co-star Sabrina Carpenter.

In the past few days, there had been rumors that the hit Disney Channel teen series “Girl Meets World” would no longer return for a new season. The show recently wrapped up its third season, and fans had been expecting a new and fourth season coming soon. However, there had been rumors that the sour and unpleasant relationship off-camera of the show’s two main stars, Blanchard and Carpenter, had led to the cancellation of the show.

Blanchard plays the character of Riley Matthews in the show, while Carpenter plays the role of her best friend Maya Hart.

However, in her recent Twitter post, Blanchard denied the rumors. Despite the show’s uncertain fate, she reassured fans and even “fans” who allegedly started the fake rumors that there was nothing wrong with her relationship with her co-star. As it turned out, the issue affected the young star emotionally, and she denied any truth to the rumors.

“I don’t usually comment on anything like this, but I have spent the last half hour crying, confused as to why someone can stoop to such a low level to try to ruin the life of someone they don’t know personally,” she said. “Of course none of that is true, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt.”

She also revealed that her relationship with Carpenter off-camera is the same as what viewers see on the show.

“I would never fake a friendship,” she added. “The thought of that makes me sick. The cast and I love each other more than anything, we all have had a hard time this week because of it possibly being our last week. It has only been hugging and reminiscing and loving each other.”
