Last week’s “Girl Meets World” episode saw Lucas (Peyton Meyer) still torn between Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and Riley (Rowan Blanchard), while another original character from “Boy Meets World,” Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong), made a grand gesture to Maya’s mother, Katy (Cheryl Texiera).
The girls have been fighting a lot lately, and Maya decided to express her feelings by throwing paint all over their empty art classroom. Later, Maya and Riley went to Shawn’s cabin to get some advice, and Shawn told Maya that they were alike in some ways as he always wanted to be just like Riley’s father Cory (Ben Savage) when they were growing up, while Maya wanted to be more like Riley. Later, Maya noticed that Shawn had a picture of himself with Katy on his wall, and Shawn told her that he always liked Katy.
When the girls went back to Riley’s house, Lucas was about to tell them whom he chose, but Maya stopped him from saying the name, since she assumed that he would always choose Riley. Later, Shawn stopped by, got down on his knees, and asked Katy to marry him. Katy said yes.
Next week, in the episode titled “Girl Meets True Maya,” Maya wants to do something bad to balance out all the good she’s done lately.
In the promo for the episode, Riley cheers as her best friend is back to being herself again.
“Maya’s back, and she’s Maya again,” says Riley.
However, it looks like trying to be like Riley for the past few weeks has taken a toll on Maya, and the teen is just itching to cause some trouble.
Maya triggers the fire alarm during lunch period, and Riley freaks out.
“Fire alarm! Oh, you sassy troublemaker!” she exclaims.
Later, Katy appears to be missing a hundred dollars and she asks who took it. Everyone looks at Maya, who denies that she took the money.
And it looks like Maya isn’t above causing more trouble as she cuts class and hangs out with a rough crowd.
“I came here to see what I’m still capable of,” Maya tells a girl before smashing a statue with a hammer. But it appears that Maya’s rebellious ways are about to have some serious consequences as Officer James (Reginald VelJohnson) takes her back to the house and tells everyone that she committed an act of vandalism.
“Girl Meets World” airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m. ET on Disney Channel.
