Last week on “Girl Meets World,” Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) wanted to prove that she was still the bad girl that she used to be by causing chaos at their high school by pulling the fire alarm and instigating all sorts of mischief. After her friends thought that she might have stolen a hundred dollars from her mother, Maya took off to cause more trouble at a local park.
At the park, Maya runs into some tough girls that she used to know before she met Riley (Rowan Blanchard). One of them hits the park’s statue with a hammer, and both girls encouraged Maya to do the same. Later, Maya is brought by a police officer to the Matthews’ house, and Maya accuses Riley of turning her in. Soon, Maya confessed that she actually did not do anything to the statue, and the cop said that he will write Maya up, put the report in a folder and “lose” the folder, as long as he doesn’t hear her do anything bad again.
This week, the gang goes to a very familiar place for “Boy Meets World” fans in the two-part special “Girl Meets Ski Lodge.” In the episode, the trio, along with Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) return to the infamous ski lodge where Cory and Topanga almost broke up when they were teenagers.
It can be recalled that the couple almost broke up when Cory, while on his ski trip to Mount Sun Lodge, ended up having a connection with a ski lodge employee named Lauren (Linda Cardellini). It ended with Lauren kissing Cory and writing him a romantic letter, and when Topanga found out, this almost caused the end of their relationship.
In a promo for the episode, Cory is preparing his students for the trip to the same ski lodge, and when someone asks what happened at the ski lodge, Riley said that a “mountain girl” kissed Cory.
“I didn’t kiss her!” Cory protested.
“Those were very bad times for Cory and Topanga,” said Riley. “But everything’s fine now except we can’t ski ever or say ‘ski’ or walk downhill.”
Cory is so upset that he broke his pointer, and he tells his students, “The ski lodge was almost the end of Cory and Topanga America’s Sweethearts. And I know something’s gonna happen there for you.”
It appears that Lucas (Peyton Meyer) will finally choose between Riley and Maya at the ski lodge, bringing the love triangle to an end once and for all.
“Girl Meets World” airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m. ET on the Disney Channel.
